SANTHISADAN, IRINJALAKKUDA

Santhisadan is an old age home for women established to take care of the homeless, sick and the dying which belongs to the diocese of Irinjalakkuda and is inaugurated and blessed by Most. Rev. Joseph Kundukulam popularly known as the Father of the poor on January 25, 1976. Sisters of St. Martha accepted the charge of this institute under the direction of the subsequent vicars of the parish. Thanks to God’s providence, now the house accommodates 45 elderly women who find love, comfort, acceptance and healing in a homey atmosphere. The dedication of the sisters is reflected on the cheerful face of these otherwise lonely people. Sisters are also actively involved in the apostolic activities of the parish like house visiting and family meetings.
